I don't live at the lowest point in Essen, but since this is my home I come by here every now and then when I have to go to the bank or go shopping when it rains. 😊

Unfortunately, there is no notice board marking the exact location. In addition to the impressive church structure (possibly Karnap Church) from 1972, a stroll through the surrounding Mathias Stinnes settlement, a former colliery colony with neat little houses in quiet streets, is particularly worthwhile.

Here is the lowest point of Essen (26m above sea level). Worth seeing is the old colliery in the garden city style around the Boshammerweg. Definitely worth a walk.
