Simple monument. Nevertheless, well-kept and meanwhile not overgrown by the tree. Behind the monument is a nice place to take a break and relax a little 😊

A simple memorial erected in honor of Gottlieb Kern, a local manufacturer of scales. For a while it was very overgrown, but now the tree behind it and the ivy are missing and you can see it great and read the beautiful plaque on the stone.

Nice monument which was donated by the company Kern itself in 1996 in honor of its founder. The inscription on the bronze board should be taken care of again, because it has set oxidation and it is sometimes somewhat difficult to read the board well. Nevertheless, a beautiful monument in honor of the mechanic Gottlieb Kern with his still leading world fine-scale factory. Behind the monument stands a large shrub. If you walk around it you will also find a beautiful pond with a fountain. A few meters further on is the historic Onstmettinger pumping station. And after about 4 minutes walk up the road, you will reach the Philipp Matthäus Hahn Museum. So something for everyone in beautiful Onstmettingen. 😍
