Beautiful location with lots of hiking paths

Two ways are possible to the ruin. One is tougher and leads through the forest, passes the restaurant and then after 700m you are there. Second is common road for agro technic and is easier for kids and older ones. In total both are abput 2.3km. On 16.2., the ruin is closed by local authorities!

Castle ruins, parts are well preserved. Climbing the largest wall is worthwhile. Some signs and explanations as well.

Loved hiking to this castle. Spectacular views, we could see 3 castles in the distance. No charge well worth the trip

Great old castle ruin close to the Landauer Hütte in the Pfälzer Wald. This is a beautiful place with a great view on the surrounding hills and villages. The castle is reachable in 10 min via a foot path from the Hütte. Definitely a great location for a hiking trip.
