From the ruins of Rietburg it is about a 1.5 km walk to the tower. This was well signposted in the forest. The tower was named after Ludwig I, King of Bavaria. Today, Sunday, many were on their way to the tower, which I could only see from the outside. With the tightness in there and many without a mask, that was too much risk for me in Corona times.

All year round accessible observation tower in the beautiful Palatinate Forest near edenkoben. The climb is worth it. You will be rewarded with a great view.

The tower is pretty nice from the outside, but unfortunately we couldn't get up. Too many people in a confined space, no masks, no distance ...
