Not much left but nice to visit for a view and if you have some guest who loves archaeology or history.

Really very nicely made castle ruins. The effort paid off. Always worth a hike with a great view. You should have seen it.

Was closed for a long time for construction. Is now freely accessible again. For me one of the most beautiful rock castles (ruins) in the region

From parking lot 3 Buchen it is about 800m uphill. The ruin is easy to reach and offers great views over the Palatinate Forest. The castle ruins are winding. There is something to discover in many corners. We spent a good hour there with our two children. The remains of the rock castle are well secured. Railings protect against missteps. However, you should be free from giddiness.

Very beautiful castle ruins, easy to reach over a short distance, even with a stroller. The ruin itself has many niches and steps to discover where you have to leave the stroller below. Absolutely recommended for children. The view from above is beautiful.
