Beautiful bike tunnel made through this mountain. That means that you can cycle a very large stretch along the river Ahr without too much height differences. On top of the mountain you see Burg Are. The route is called "Ahr-Radweg", and is well signposted everywhere. You can rent a bicycle. In Altenahr near Ahr-Eifel-Touren: good bikes, friendly people! The street from Altenahr to Rech is called Rotweinstrasse.

Good starting point from a circular route through the Langfigtal. Under the viaducts there is a public parking lot from here you can reach a footbridge on the circular route to Ahrschleife (Langfigtal) at Altenahr. Here you can admire the wild and romantic part of the Ahr with its high cliffs and the Are Castle. Through the car tunnel you get back to the starting point. A nice walk without big differences in height
