Excellente view, at the start off what is called the red wine trail. Which is a hiking trail that goes through vineyards for up to 80 km. The best view and hike is in my view between Alternahl to Arweiler takes around 4-5 hours. Best is to park the car at either location and take a train back when finished.

Great views from an interesting, important piece of history. A couple more signs in the town centre indicating how to ascend would not go amiss.

Beautiful as all castles in the area. Easy to reach by foot, not so far from train station.

Nice view to the Ahr valley, but otherwise not much to see. 5-10 minutes are enough for this place
