This was a fascinating touch of history. Wolfgang, the owner, did an excellent job taking us through the history of the facility from when the Germans built it, the French occupied it, the Americans turned it into an Operations Center, and finally, it's return back to the original land owner, Wolfgang's family. This is a great off-site event for your team, and only costs €8/person.

VERY interesting look into Cold War history. It's worn down and a bit scary since it hasn't been in use since the early 90s, but that's part of the fun. Bring a coat and flashlight, you will need them. We went in summer and weren't dressed right and froze.

Highly recommend visiting by contacting the website for a tour. The land was given back to the original owners and they give tours for a small fee. He told us a little of the history of the land, area, and full tour of the cave. My dad once worked in the cave and he really enjoyed the experience of seeing it after all of these years.
