Very disappointing. I took the long way from the Horst Schanze to the Horst Bridge to see this structure. Overall, however, it no longer fulfills its purpose. I don't call that customer enthusiasm. Here one could have come up with more ideas. Maybe a couple of snack stalls or something for the kids. But there was probably only saved again.

I looked at it on the recommendation of a friend and I am more than satisfied. A truly excellent architecture. Can only recommend it.

Hurst = the bushes, the undergrowth (Old High German) Meaning: Man from the forest. The bridge, connecting two of each other, such as a river, a road or public transport rails, separate places, is a symbol of love. The architect has been able to integrate the symbolism of "out of the forest" and love into his masterpiece. Thus, the bridge tells a story of two separate forest people, who presumably lived here over 2500 years ago, and were separated only by the rails of public transport. In the cleverly set concrete pillars, the gentle observer recognizes the passion with which the lovers created this bridge for the first time 2500 years ago. With practical and artistic expertise, the architect has succeeded in merging modern requirements and historical significance. Even today, one sees loving people crossing the bridge barely suspecting what happened here so long ago.

As you drive so far out of Landau to see this initially promising but ultimately disappointing bridge. The name does not hold up to its promise and then there is not even a souvenir shop.

A good way to get to the other side is in the renewal
