Wonderfully original, this "Saubrunnen" located in the middle of the village of Bornheim. A beautiful attraction that you should definitely see as a visitor. Especially the mother pig just thought it was cool! 😃 Right next to the church is this beautiful, funny object. A medal to the one who had this idea and implemented it. 🏆🏅👍

I just like the fountain. There is so much life and joie de vivre in it, and of course the death of the pig, because otherwise there would be no pig's stomach. As the city of Bornheim in the Palatinate wrote so beautifully: The inauguration of the Saubrunens on October 8, 1988 was a big event for Bornheim, as our former Prime Minister Dr. Berhard Vogel went to Bornheim specifically for this purpose. In the past 30 years, the Saubrunnen has become Bornheim's landmark. He made Bornheim well known far beyond the region. If Bornheim is perceived today as a village of art, then the works of Professor Gernot Rumpf and his wife Barbara with the Saubrunnen and the teacher Lämpel with his Max and Moritz Platz have a special share in this. In this respect, it was a stroke of luck for Bornheim that Dieter Hörner was able to win over Gernot and Barbara Rumpf to design the fountain.
