Nice local recreation area with a restored Roman fort and a small zoo near Waldmössingen

Reconstructed tower of the former Roman fort. From there beautiful views and good hiking opportunities e.g. through the animal enclosure there. In the tower there is a small exhibition with finds from the Roman period, but unfortunately the entrance is almost always closed.

The fort makes a good impression from a distance. A corner tower and a piece of the Wall Walls were not reconstructed very faithfully. One has the feeling here was more emphasis on the establishment of a landmark than historical details! About the origin and the edification in the year 74 AD is only speculated and can be brought to the field and learn nothing. No chart, no info, nothing .... There is a barbecue area and a few tables and as a photo opportunity the place is also good! A longer journey I would not take extra for that!
