Fascinating for children I can remember sitting on the stone on a bike ride. I was so fascinated to sit on a stone where "God already sat". The seat and in armprints are still clearly present.

The Herrgottstein is a granite boulder with erosions, which indicate that it comes from the nearby Eger. How he got to his place - a few 100 meters from the course of the river - is a mystery. According to the legend, the Lord rested on the 7th day and looked at his creation. When he walked on he left his mark. Whoever takes the impression has three wishes open!
