Stone refuge, built in 1845 by Wilhelm Retzer from Freinsheim. The name of the hut goes back to his wife Laura. The Laurahütte itself was handed over to the Drachenfels Club in 1875. The three pillars built into the entrance are characteristic.

Nice picnic place with a fantastic view

The Laurahütte offers hikers space to shelter (in unfavorable weather conditions) and to take a break / picnic. Great view down to parts of Ungstein. The hut can be reached from the 'Ungeheuersee' as well as from the Lindemannsruhe car park or the Weilach car park. Points deducted because visitors / hikers behind the hut always meet their human needs ...

Nice to walk circular route around Leistadt

It is true that you repeatedly learn that you are on the historical circular route, but at the end of the Poseltweg and further on there are no hints, e.g. to the Laura Hut.
