On the market for the beautiful Gothic Munster today there was a big market with lots of lovely stalls. Most with fruit and vegetables and a huge number of stalls with sausage sandwiches. There is an incredible variety of different sausages ..... probably the "red Freiburger" the most local sausage. Everybody partook today a sandwich with sausage because it was cold cracking around freezing. The stalls are also not on a straight line so that it looks very cozy in setup. Highly recommended if you come to visit Freiburg.

Beautiful and characteristic fountain that makes the cathedral square even more interesting, especially if surrounded by the typical market stalls.
