The fat one is a life-size bronze statue by Karl-Henning Seemann that has been in Pforzheim's city center since April 5, 1986. The actual name of the statue is "Male Figure", but in the vernacular the name The Fat Man or with the addition The Fat Man has become naturalized, probably also because this name is used in the thanksgiving on the plate at the feet of the statue. The fat one is a gift from the Pforzheimer Kulturrat e.V .. Due to its central location on Leopoldplatz, it is often used as a meeting point for meetings. (Source: StadtWiki Pforzheim-Enz)
