Awful place! Shop assistant ignored us (was just chatting on phone) despite we entered shop for the 3t time! The worst shop in the world!

The manager/staff member(?) Mr. Ciaran is quite a jerk and his poor reputation is well known amongst the many other cycle shops in Paris. Disregarding other parisian cyclists' forewarnings, I choose to purchase a jersey at his shop only to find that it was not the exact one i needed. Two days later, I went to return the merchandise for a refund (which I was informed is possible when I made the purchase). To my utter disgust, he told me that he would not be able to refund me unless I came back to the shop 6 hrs later that afternoon. He did not apologize for the inconvenience nor give a clear reason for this unprofessional service. Despite the inconvenience, I returned later that day and sought the service of his younger much more considerate employee who kindly and quickly completed my requested return. As the transaction was being done, Mr. Ciaran glanced over and with a snobbish smirk remarked, "See, I told you we would refund you later", as if he was doing me a HUGE favor. I see why he holds such a terrible reputation. I was later informed that he might be pulling this crap on tourists who he hopes wouldn't bother returning back to this shop for the sake of time, therefore getting away with not reimbursing customers. If you do not wish to be treated poorly or cheated out, I strongly encourage you to NOT go to Vélo & Oxygen. Investing in a good bicycle should be done at a shop whose goal is to support your passion and dedication to cycling, not to rip you off.

Unless you're buying something there this store isn't worth it. The staff is unhelpful and unwilling to work on a bike that wasn't purchased there.

English-speaking staff couldn't help me with a stem for a 1980s steel frame bike but did have a vintage-style saddle in stock (which nearby Decathlon didn't) which matched the bike.
