Hoscar

Hoscar is a small railway station situated right beside a level crossing, and it serves the railway line which goes to Southport in one direction (and Wigan in the other). There is absolutely no where to park your car, or anywhere if somebody wants to be dropped off here. There is also no signs of any bicycle rack here. It is a bit of a strange station because it is made up of two split platforms of which one is on one side of the level crossing and the other is on the opposite side of the level crossing. There is no way of telling when any trains are due because there is no digital arrivals board so if you want to know whether a train is going to turn up you will have to walk into the shelter and speak to somebody on the telephone. Each platform does have a shelter and somewhere to sit whilst you're waiting for your train.
