The Chester Grosvenor Hotel

My 2nd time experiencing afternoon tea here. Such beautiful surroundings, amazing staff, and the food was to die for. I would definitely recommend the Grosvenor Hotel for both first timers, and also tourists from afar. You will delight at the apparent luxury, and attendance to detail in all aspects. Fantastic is an understatement.

Was going to give 4 stars as some of the facilities it open. But the food was outstanding treatments I had where amazing I felt so good after them. A d millie the therapist was brilliant. So friendly amazing knowledge on products highly recommend. Will definitely be returning

Was not as expected . Whilst I couldn’t fault the staff as they were amazingly kind and considerate and nothing was to much for them the hotel doesn’t represent what was advertised online. When booking we astonished at how amazing and grand the hotel seem however on arrival we were very disappointed. With downstairs areas bars & reception) were very grand once on the corridors to the rooms the decor was very old fashioned and tired (not as represented online). When getting to our room it did not resemble what we saw online at all further adding to our disappointment and what we thought we had booked in the slightest. It was very old fashioned, cold and dark and the lamp shade on one of the lights was broken and wouldn’t sit right and the entire room smelt old and dusty as though no one had been in there in months yet it should’ve been cleaned before we arrived! We spoke to reception about this who said they had another room available and although it was 2 grades above the original room we had booked but it would be of no extra charge. (We were happy with this until seeing the room) The receptionist asked if we would like to look at the room to which we agreed but yet again when going into the room it was again dark, cold and extremely old fashioned. (Prior to looking at this room in person we looked online to see what this type of room looked like online. However, it was even further from what was shown online to the original room we had been given. I am aware that all rooms are not going to be exactly what is shown online however for the price the hotel is I was very very disappointed. I am not usually one to right a review however it but a dampener on mine and my partners trip and we will not be returning.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff really go out of their way to help you. A lovely touch was when one of the front of house caught upto us on our way out and mentioned it had been raining and brought us an umbrella. Great stay and great service. Well recommended.

The Brasserie's a great place for dining. With social distancing measures in place it's even better as tables are set further apart giving just that little bit more privacy. The staff are just as attentive as always.
