The hotel is very nice as you would expect a Double Tree Hilton to be. However the rooms are only average. That is unless you stay in the newer side. We didn't eat at the restaurant and only ate breakfast there which was just above average for a hotel breakfast. So overall not bad but could be better.

Just returned from a 1 night stay this weekend. We had travelled down to take our son to Chester zoo for his birthday and when we arrived at the hotel we were delighted that they had upgraded us to the presidential suite for this occasion. The reception staff were so welcoming and the children loved the warm cookies. The room was lovely and had everything and more for our stay. Breakfast was great with the added bonus of being spooky themed. Staff were so attentive and really couldn't have done anymore for us. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you everyone for making our weekend extra special.

I have just come back from here for my 30th birthday. Me and 5 others. It was amazing! Comfy beds, amazing swimming pools and a very relaxing back massage. The staff in the garden room were very helpful. Overall was a fantastic day/evening. I will definitely he coming here again!

Check in was fast . The room was to a high standard and clean. The staff were helpful and polite. Evening meal in the hotel was nice . And lots of choice for breakfast too. Good location and easy reach of the centre of Chester. The down side was it's almost impossible to ring and speak to anyone in the hotel. I tried a number of times to ring and email before we arrived to book spa and evening meal and had no response. Even ringing from the room no one answered at reception. Also there is no food served during the day so if you want to eat you have to go out of the hotel. Enjoyed my stay though and I would return

Very safe place to stay with all security protocols being followed by all staff. One or two quirky things, like paper cups in rooms and plastic cups for juice at breakfast etc. No daily papers, hot breakfast dispensed as requested rather than self service, but all with intention of keeping the place virus-free. Staff all masked and socially distancing and bonus of low-rise, so no more than two floors in a lift. Spacious grounds and peaceful walled garden. Highly recommended for a de-stress
