HSBC

This has to be the worst banking branch of any bank in the UK. I previously had trouble with repeated refusals to process a direct debit because they didnt likethe signature despite showing up with passport and doing new signatures they refused again. Today I attempted to collect a replacenent card ordered two and a half weeks ago. Now I know it is hard for us all but I am frustrated I spent hours of my life on the phone and on line trying to get the card each time going through the same stuff finally being told it would be quick if I collected from Tavern Street From the start the female employeee there had a hostile attitude not a smile not a'sorry this is a long time to wait no, it was all put back on me I must have ordered the card to to some place else she even asked if the address on my drivin g licence was my 'real address'. Fortunately I took screen shots of everything I did on line these last weeks and please do the same as HSBC will deny you ordered anything!. I am elderly and disabled on DLA both mobility and personal care I cannot walk or stand much after 15 minutes of veiled hostlity interlarded with 'Darling' and 'dear' a tactic often used by those who like bullying the elderly I felt ill. I asked for a chair explaining I was registered disabled and telling a second employee I did not feel well. I sat on the floor which is both painful and humiliating. Of course I did not get the card might be in by the end of the week. Only good thing most of my money I removed from HSBC some time ago!! I am now going to ask Tom Hunt MP which section of the Corona virus act prohibits the disabled from sitting down Shameful HSBC

From a student's perspective, don't waste time trying to open a student account. Been in to the branch three consecutive times, each time being told to come back once more & yet the end outcome after numerous appointments - We are not able to offer you a student account (For no valid reason whatsoever) Honestly, don't waste your time. Go with natwest or another because at least they help you resolve any problem, regardless of the case.

Compared to other banks HSBC banking app is useless. Very old fashioned and can't do much on it. Other banks have facilities that would allow you to cancel direct debits, send secure email messages regarding your account, etc. This is like going back 10 years. So my relationship with HSBC after 15 yrs comes to an end.

Tried reaching them to open an current account. Observed they try all cheap tricks and provide all excuses where to avoid providing services. They were not at all interested in providing services in-spite of having all documents. They treat as if we know nothing. I can clearly see a available slot in online but when approach them, they pretend like all slots are booked or no slots available. After knowing their attitude I just stopped talking to them and started booking on my own.

I don’t recommend anyone to open an account at HSBC because I don’t wanna see anyone’s experiencing this terrible SERVICE. The customer service was an absolute joke. They are really annoying and so sensitive. Been to the branch many time and every time had a problem.
