Would not trust these guys with a Stapler, forget a car.
I was scratched by another car, and was instructed by my insurance company that Nationwide would be in touch. This is where I made my first mistake in that I did not read the online reviews. I dropped my car off on a Friday and was contacted by an Engineer who provided an overview of the work required the next day. Following this I had no contact from them for 2 weeks and this is when I started chasing. There are 2 receptionists at this particular branch in Slough, one is helpful and the other one is rude. I was told the car was still waiting for parts from another garage and it would be ready next week. For another 2 weeks I was chasing these guys and was told the same response, still waiting and should be ready tomorrow. It took 1 month to do a scratch, and when I did finally receive the car the wheels were missing the badges!
I have a feeling these guys hold on to the car until the insurance company pays them - delaying the whole process. Also they charge the insurance company every day you hold there replacement car. It’s a great business model they have got going on.
Please do yourself a favour and do not use these clowns.
Just got my car back today after 6 weeks. They lost my car for the first week, the spraying is average at best, the tyre replacement is a cheap budget one instead of the Yokohama that was originally on there, scratched in 3 separate places, the aerial missing and the handbrake now has loads of play. The driver showed up at my house at 8am instead of my work between 9-11 as agreed. Made me late for work and I couldn’t properly inspect the car. He was in a hurry to get out of there, probably because he new what I was about to notice the second I took my handbrake off, plus all the other things wrong.
I’m now in the complainant process with my insurance company to get it done properly at reputable company.
My cars like new now.
Friendly staff, very helpfully, good quality of repairs.
