Ah yes, the German bureaucracy! I had an experience with them that I don't even want to write about on here but maybe it's helpful. And let's just say I do not miss the German bureaucracy at all and I am so glad I only have to deal with it every 10 years! The case worker was demanding documents completely irrelevant to a passport RENEWAL, she treated my renewal application as if I never had a passport before. I had to submit tons of paperwork for "proof of citizenship", which prolonged the whole process unnecessarily, even though she held my old passport in her hands (which proves citizenship!). I would like to add that every German citizen that's registered is in their database and easy for them to look up/ check citizenship. Complete "Schikane" if you ask me and they get away with it! Zero stars!!!

Maybe the worst staff to represent a great nation like Germany. I drove from Minneapolis to Chicago for visit visa interview appointment. I made sure to contact the embassy via Emails to make sure of my required documentation. The staff who responded is either dumb or i was contacted by one of the officers and when they screwed up they wanted to cover it ip instead of owning it and apologize. No compassion, no respect, cutting me off, talking down to me as someone lower than others. I felt so disappointed and disrespected. I was going to visit a best friend who I haven’t seen for 8 years. I had the documents ready based on the responses. The staff who was racist, didn’t want to tell her name when i asked saying its against their rule. But i called the embassy to know that os not true. I lost money and time on this because of their screw up. I no more want to travel to Germany.

Very cool place. The food was great, nothing fancy just straightforward good German food. The service was excellent.

I love this place. Good food, good vibe, and a good value. Just wish I came here more often!
