Please Stop Fabricating Customer Details on A/C opening !! They took 2 months to open the account, despite filing multiple complaints and escalating them to the nodal officer. Maybe, they were in a hurry to finish the task, but they ended up fabricating all my details, including Address, Phone No. and E-mail id, without realizing the security threat involved. When I informed them about the problem, they kept insisting that the details got 'picked up' from some identity proofs, and it does not matter what customer fills in the application form. However, when I told them that the 'Fabricated Address' does not exist in reality anywhere on earth, they had to accept their blunders. AxisBank is the only bank which charges Rs. 5/min for calls to technical support (in addition to what service provider charges) and 3/min for service request SMS, while other banks like SBI and HDFC were paying for customers' call and SMS charges from their own pockets even when these services were chargeable.
