Mars in Elba !! This open pit mine is extremely quiet, very few people know it due to the distance from busy roads. But the emotional impact is very strong! What colors! The various shades of red and yellow of the minerals of a battered ground, the intense green of the Mediterranean machine that reoccupies its own space, the deep blue of the sea and the clear blue of the sky! The view over Cavo up to Follonica and Piombino. If it didn't look so much like hell you'd think you've made it to heaven!
