Lovely park, peaceful and serene which you will see the remains of a Roman Ampitheater, beautiful flowers, great place to take a walk and contemplate how you are in the neat small and quaint Italian Tuscan hill town of Cortona which is well worth the visit and a lovely place to spend time/live for some. For us, tomorrow we march on Orvieto, closer onward to Rome.

Place where you can walk and sit and admire the place with the background of children who, accompanied by their parents, run and have fun. A place that also allows you to isolate yourself from the hectic and often chaotic life perhaps accompanied by a good book. In August, two special events to remember in this fantastic place are the Sagra fella Bistecca (Ferragosto) and the Porcino mushroom festival (the following week). Unique atmosphere to recommend to all those who believe that traditions are disappearing. But that's not it, try it to believe it!

Not particularly beautiful, nor "important", but in the context useful to make the gardens more welcoming and interesting.

A truly magical place, convenient parking at the gardens, the main street is full of small shops, lots of little places where we ate really well.
