It is an amazing wide park rich of hidden statues and artificial grottos. Highly recommended with children and dogs but an absolute paradise for couples willing to spend a day under the sunny sky of Tuscany in the fresh shade of ancient trees.

Beautiful statue. I can feel the helplessness & fragility of the giant and you should appreciate the beauty of him from different angle. I would have given the park 5 stars if I didn't get bitten by mosquito and lice.

The appennine colossus is not in the Pratolino Park anymore! It was moved to Giardino di Boboli, Florence (which is near to Palazzo Pitti) This isn’t mentioned on the website.

Pratolino is a very wonderdul park, just 15 minutes driving out of the center of Florence city. Wide, well organized and also very well clean, it is a extraordinary place where is possible to relax, walk and play sports alone or with the family. Free entrance offers a very important additional benefit, absolutely uncommon. Then, the question is: why two stars only ? Very simple. The park is very often closed. That happens during the national vacations, without any apparent reason: so you arrive there for nothing and you waste time for nothing. Park organization is also quite difficult to contact and the internet does not help that much. I would rather prefer to pay the entrance and get a serious service, instead of keep a special place which is available only sometimes. But, anyway, i can cobfirm the absolute beauty of that place. To be visited (if you will find it opened!)
