The path of the little train is a path suitable for everyone that goes from S.Cristina to Ortisei. It takes up (in part) the ancient route of the railway and along the way it explains the history of this work in a rather in-depth manner. The railway line, built using Russian prisoners in times of war, was built for the transport of weapons and troops to the front. In the post-war period it was used for commercial transport and for tourist purposes but was later dismantled for too high costs. The route that can also be traveled with a stroller is quite simple even if in some places it is necessary to cross the road. The tunnel that crosses S. Cristina for a few hundred meters is very beautiful. Inside, a series of information panels explain the history of the train and the railway. To be seen!

An interesting initiative that restores luster to the engineering of the time and the efforts of the men of the time. Now most of it has been transformed into a walk that connects the main villages of the valley ... but if there had been the little train ...
