The spring would be a magical place, but it is too noisy. There simply too much infrastructure crammed in a very narrow strip of land connecting Trieste/Trst with the rest of Italy: local road, highway, railway, industrial zone, marina... And then on a nice sunny day, you have a lot of motorcyclists doing their exhibitions, speeding through a nearby village of Štivan. It must have been a great place 150 years ago, but now it is ruined.

The spring of Timava river is a beautiful place to see with turquoise water and many interesting sights nearby.

Timavo is a river that goes for many miles underground. And surfaces from the ground at "bocche del timavo " and flows into the Adriarico sea right after If you like nature is a place to go.
