The Fountain of the Four Seasons is one of the symbols of Viareggio. The ceramics that surround it represent the seasons; built in 1963 it has undergone a major restoration around the years 2000. The fountain is located in front of the Grand Hotel Royal, in a characteristic feature of the promenade of Viareggio. In the upper part from where the water falls into the lower tank, there is a bizarre animal, a kind of small horse with a long and twisted fish tail, reminiscent of a magical creature. Glad they have it restored !!! A beautiful and impressive fountain, also a symbol of the walk of viareggio !!

The fountain is made of ceramic by Beppe Domenici in 1963 and restored in an important way in 2001. It was declared a national monument in 2012.
