Strada Antronesca

The Antronesca is a route of 42 km. which in 3 days leads from Villadossola to Saas Almagell, in Valais: The border is crossed at the Antrona Pass at an altitude of m. 2884. Already opened in ancient times, it had its maximum use in the Middle Ages and then decayed with the "Napoleonic" Simplon.
