Nice place to rest and eat some picnic. There's shadow between the trees.

Valle del Bove is a huge depression on the eastern flank of Etna. Its origins are still not clear, the name suggests cattle grazing, when the valley should have been obviously green. Most probably there was a huge caldera collapse, and other explainations included marine erosion, fluvial and even glacisl erosion. Now it is covered with many lava flows.

It is an unbelieavable experience to stand on the edge of the Bove Valley and looking down. This place is truly amazing and seems out of this world. Strongly reccommended.
