Val Compol is a short and steep valley that flows into Val Cimoliana to the homonymous bridge. Having a narrow outlet, there have accumulated over the millennia of gigantic debris, which have been progressively shaped by erosion and colonized by a thick and varied vegetation. Sometimes atmospheric phenomena have manifested themselves with such violence to determine sudden changes in the conformation of the valley, as happened for example at the end of October 2018. As evidenced by some photos that public, the river bed that runs through the valley has lowered a few meters in its final course, where the narrow passage between high rock walls has given the current a violent and irrepressible violence. This valley has offered and can still offer, provided that its paths are kept accessible, a direct access to the peaks of Mount Duranno and Cima Preti that respectively reach and reach the respectable altitude of 2,700 m, made even more spectacular because the valley bottom is located around 900 m above sea level. Erosion aside, the valley is a paradise of the most unspoiled nature, a small Shangri-la dolomitica that experienced hikers appreciate.
