Bosco Cansiglio

Beautiful wood, even if stormed on Sunday. Possibility in the area to buy cheese made in the area, really good, apples in season. It is really nice to spend a day here. It is not as spectacular as the Dolomites, more of a lord of the rings environment, with lots of moss, mushrooms, uprooted trees. The lower ring can be covered with strollers, the higher one instead more for more equipped people, not demanding, but you go down on the bed of an old river and can be more problematic.

Magnificent beech forest maintained over the years in excellent condition for the wise administration of the Republic of Venice which used wood for the construction of boats. In some places there are woods with dozens of specimens of secular beech trees, among the most beautiful in Europe.
