The beauty of this historic villa, if it weren't for the pitiful state it has been in for decades, deserves full marks. Unfortunately, unlike what happened for the park (recovered and open to the public, as well as facilities for children on crayons), the only action that acts evidently on it is that of an unstoppable decline caused by acts vandalism and the passage of time. The structure, whose real name is villa Argentina, has had various properties and hosted several prominent families of the Trieste company, including the owner Antonio Cosulich, who bought it after returning from Buenos Aires in the 1920s. At the time the area was not populated as it is now, but inserted in a peaceful context as it is predominantly rural and marginal, if compared to the size of the city. The Cosulich family in 1980 sold the villa to the Burlo Garofolo institute, which from 1997 passed definitively to the Municipality of Trieste. The hope is that the situation of stasis that has arisen will unlock and that the city can once again admire a heritage recovered and valued in the best way.
