Ponds in the Karst are a rarity like all surface waters in general. For this they assume an intrinsic value and beauty. And if, as in this case, they are "home" to rare and precious species such as the toad (yellow-bellied amphibian with a characteristic verse), then that place becomes even more special. Two steps that deserve.

Evocative place located in the upper part of the park. Enclosed in a sort of quarry, it can be reached walking 10-15 minutes uphill starting from the lower part of the park. To date, the path is closed just before the pond due to landslide threat. However, it can be easily reached since the metal mesh that should act as a block has been partially demolished. Interesting variety of dragonflies and toads, frogs and tritons that can be admired in certain periods.

Villa Giulia beautiful city park !!! The pond is lack of care by the municipality, but it offers a particular view of Cologna ward and a slice of the city.

Magical! Immersed in nature, away from the noise of the city, full of life! I recommend getting there by going down from the entrance of via Commerciale, where there is a sports club. Comfortable shoes and in the descent you will enjoy a breathtaking view and then get to the pond, near which spring water flows from the rocks. Highly recommended on a beautiful sunny day

Very pleasant place, it deserves a higher score but like most urban parks it gives the impression of being neglected
