One of the most popular places for Trieste runners. Three routes of about 2, 3 and 5 km are marked (not very well). From there you can leave for several other routes towards Lipica, Sezana as well as the more demanding Cocusso mountain. Too bad that the wood is abandoned and numerous and increasingly frequent are the trees that fall blown down by the wind on bora days, remaining there for months, sometimes preventing the passage.

Great place for walking, running and mountain biking. Parking available not far, south of the forest, at the entrance to Basovizza. Place also very popular, especially in spring and summer and on Saturday and Sunday.

Nice if you like the woods, paths and paths wind through the trees of the Basovizza wood, evocative scenarios and particular atmospheres, depending on the season and the climate, there are more and less frequented tracks, you can meet runners, people walking and any dogs, it is a typical karst forest.

Beautiful, the bottom is perfect for walking or running in the shade and cool in summer! Some more information on the routes would be useful ...
