Throughout all of our travels, Hakone Field Resort has been our most favorite place to stay by far.
The hosts are very friendly and gave great local tips. They were super attentive to our needs and provided everything that we needed to have an awesome stay.
The room was superbly cleaned and organized, and had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.
Hakone itself has much to offer. Natural sites, shrines and temples, wonderful views, delicious local cuisine, and much more.
We can't recommend this place enough!
Awesome place to be in. The best part has to be the friendly hosts. When we arrive, he gave us a brief about the places nearby and recommended dinner spots.
The hosts also helped us with our luggage to our car when we check out even when we told him not to.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The accommodations were clean and simple. The service, however, was above and beyond. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Absolutely incredible. Spotlessly clean & really nice room, but the best part was the owners - they treated us very well. We got caught in very heavy rain and were completely soaked when we checked in - we were greeted with towels, robes and slippers. They even dried our clothes and shoes for us! Even more amazing - the weather cleared up the next morning & we had an opportunity to get a good view of Mount Fuji, but had to rush to take a train. They very kindly drove us up to a viewing point where we could take it in, and we got incredible pictures! Can’t recommend this place enough - people like this deserve your business - you have to stay here!
We arrived at Field Hakone quite early and unlike the other hotels we have been to around Japan, we were able to check-in early. The owner helped us carry our luggage up the staircase and was very helpful offering assistance and showing us around the room. The room was very plain but perfect for a couple of nights stay and was much larger then most of the rooms we have had for our Japan Trip. Very clean, the beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. There is also plenty of information on where to eat and also for those that don't have a car how to travel with the buses and where to go.
The only thing if I had to be picky would be the curtains not great at blocking the sun out in the morning and there were no power points located near the beds.
