If you get tired of the hectic schedule of daily life in big cities, this place is a perfect escape for you. Surrounded by trees, fresh water oozing from the muddy walls of the cliffs, friendly atmosphere and delicious food; it is not a place just to eat and leave, it is a place to embrace the full lifestyle of being a recluse for a while, think about the nature in us and contemplate on what we are missing in our daily life. Strongly recommended to those who love nature, silence and of course the Thai curry... :)

The host and hostess were exceptionally welcoming with their sincere warm, and kind hospitality. The place was very clean and comfortable. The foods were fresh, healthy, and delicious. I will definitely go back with my boyfriend in near future.

The treehouse cafe is a legend in the hills of Japan. An amazing place that was built like an alpine lodge in the mountains of Kansai. It’s a great place to add as a stop during a road trip connecting with Osaka. The owners are really special people who have not only built the cafe themselves but also have many stories to tell so make sure you talk with them and ask what seasonal food they are cooking when you visit!

The moment I stepped into the Treehouse, I felt at home. It gives a feeling of comfort, warmth and relaxation. It is the best place to spend time and have a good conversation with family and friends. Pleasant and soothing ambience. Food is perfectly done and prepared with love. The displayed arts are quiet interesting, too. It's a place I want to go back to!

Boring artworks, mediocre-at-best-food accompanied with a high fee for it all. Not worth the trouble.
