HATAGO SAKURA

Hatago Sakura was a serene experience all around. We enjoyed a personal greeting by the owner and the warm and friendly service. It’s worth traveling to Hiroshima just for this. The small town feel mixed with the beauty and slow-paced atmosphere made this one of the best experiences we had in Japan. They will drive you to and from the station when you arrive so you can enjoy the comfort of your stay. The rooms are pristine and beautiful, and the Onsen was fantastic. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. The owner’s son is a master chef so don’t miss out on eating the dinner and breakfast here. Everything from the room to the food was presented in the most beautiful way I could imagine. Definitely a great escape from the large cities and one of our most memorable experiences. Everything was done to the highest grade possible. 10/10

Beautiful Ryokan and very friendly owner and staff. Dinner and breakfast are exquisite, amazing taste! My Husband and I were there last year in autumn for our 10th yr anniversary. And we plan to go again for spring sometime!

This family owned onsen is amazing. 5 stars service five stars food. The ower will pick you up at the station as per request. And be sure to reserve their dinner set, it’s one of the best I have ever have. They don’t have a public bath, you have your own onsen in the room, and the Japanese garden outside the onsen is very nice too

Pretty much faultless from start to finish. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night and neglected to order the kaiseki evening meal. Fortunately my hosts recommended a truly wonderful steakhouse that served a wagyu sirloin that has ruined all other beef for me forever. The room was pristine and serene, with a private onsen that melted away all my travelling woes. Cannot wait to return for a longer stay.

A nice very comfortable hotel. As we arrived we got picked up by the owner. He showed us the area around the hotel and possible locations for dinner. It was a very nice and warm welcome. The private onsen is luxury! We enjoyed lying in there for hours. At the second night we had dinner at the hotel. It was a very deliciuss experience. As western europeans we got explanied everything. It was very respectful and nice. I would suggest everyone who stays there to have the dinner there. You can‘t say it in words. At the first morning we got a traditional japanese breakfast and at the second morning we got a western style one. I can‘t say one negative word about this stay. I would recommend this fully.
