2020, August 10 I stayed here for just a one day trip to Kyoto. It was a nice and cheap hotel. The lobby was so cool. The staffs were friendly. The hotel is a little bit far away from Kyoto station but you can easily go there by bus or taxi. It only cost 230 yen for bus and around 700 yen for taxi(Didi). I booked a room with a breakfast and I got a Japanese breakfast. It was good to eat rice and soup but I actually prefer a scrambled eggs :) but since their hospitality is great I can’t give them like even 4 stars.

Amazing experience at the Oriental Hotel Kyoto. The design of the hotel is superb and restful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff members speak English very well.

Nice rooms. A little far from tourest areas but still worth the stay. Great breakfast too.

beautiful new hotel! we loved the ryokan style beds and gorgeous dining area in the lobby, staff were friendly and we had a tranquil stay. would come again! be mindful you may have to get a taxi or it is quite a walk to the train station but we didn't mind this :)

Beautiful room, very comfortable, receptionists was very kind, not near to a metro station, but close to a bus stop
