Nice Ryokan hotel with typical public bath included; plus typical Japanese pajama (yukata) included in the fee. All of this at very reasonable prices. Free hot chocolate and coffee machine. The receptionist is the best: he speaks Italian, Spanish, English (and Japanese of course). He's very kind and for any doubt he'll be able to help you. When I'll be back to Kyoto I'll definitely return to Azumaya

It was a horrible room for the price, it was looking so old and all the things were covered by dust. I'm not definitely recominding this to anyone.

You can tell the toilets are a little old based on their turquoise color, but everything is clean and works flawlessly. And you really can't argue with the price. The staff is very helpful and the small onsen was really nice after a rainy day. Highly recommended for a night or two and for the budget traveler looking to stay in a more Japanese style hotel.

The hotel is next to the big main street. The whole night I cannot sleep due to non-stop street car driving by noise. The window does not insulate the sound at all. The traffic noise is loud. The bathroom is very small. The room is small too with a bit of old room smell when we walk in. There are many sticker patches on the wall. The room needs renovate. The tatami pad is thin. I feel the back is very hard when I sleep. I paid about $350 for one night but was not comfortable

Large shared bath with onsen atmosphere, basic rooms with futons. Better than expected for the price, centrally located
