Really central and was comfortable. There's no parking you have to pay ¥1100 per night at the 24/hr parking area at the back. The breakfast was really nice and a lot of food. I wish they gave you more pillows for the bed but I guess I didn't go and ask either. They're doing really well with corona. Hand sanitizer everywhere, everyone wearing masks and they check your temperature at reception when checking in. It's nice to see they are taking it really seriously. I had to wear a mask going to breakfast and disposable gloves when using any self serve items.

Location is excellent. 5 minute walk to many shops and restaurants. 15/20 minute walk to Kumamoto castle. The rooms are small, yes... but so is every hotel room in large city hotels in Japan. The bed is comfortable and the toielt/shower was clean and fine. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I was only in Kumamoto for one night but would happily return to this hotel.

Convenient location. Rooms are small, the bed is very hard, and staff struggle with requests (even when using Translate). For example, at check-in, we asked for breakfast and were told 900 yen to pay at check out. Next morning we were told off for not having a meal ticket and made to pay 1000 yen on the spot. Mostly I've ranked lowly because I just couldn't sleep because the bed was so uncomfortable. The floor is preferable.

hotel is walking distance from the arcade street, clean n reasonable room size. they did sell some Kumamon souvenir n is cheaper than those on shopping street.

This is a nice place to stay just off the River and arcade. Try the breakfasts buffet, there is alot to choose from and can be very filling. There is a nice lobby to meet in and laundry on the top floor. The rooms are a bit smaller than some but still reasonable. Nice and friendly staff who where able to answer all our questions . Hope to return and stay again.
