Well for 2 stars hotel this is really good. The bed is neat, they will clean up your bed every 2 days, and they will give a new towel and bathrobe everyday which is very nice. They also provide some bed appliances like additional pillows and toiletries in the lobby. The staff was very nice and helpful

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked this hotel because of the seemingly decent reviews, and as soon as I saw the location I was very disappointed. It’s in a dead area, albeit not too far from Kumamoto Castle (which is mostly inaccessible due to repair). The hotel is too run down and old, the ceiling is too low and it feels like a hospital ward back in the 60’s. All the nice amenities that one would expect from a decent Japanese hotel are not found here! I booked a non-smoking room and was assigned a smoking room that reeks. I requested a change of room and the new one still smelled. I was tired so I couldn’t be bothered to ask for another room change. Everything about this hotel is old and worn out, and it did not at all meet my expectation. The bathroom is tiny even by Japanese standard, and it’s very old and not spotlessly clean as you’d expect from a Japanese hotel. Breakfast is included in the room rates and it was decent. Staff was helpful and professional. There is no AC in the lobby and hallways so it was quite muggy. In short, do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS HOTEL!
