Really really great place. I can't say that enough. My wife and I stayed briefly in September and it was a great experience. The ryokan itself and the location is absolutely beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. There are private baths available, and the room we stayed in had its own bath, so it's tattoo friendly. They also accommodated my wife's vegan diet with an absolutely huge meal. I was shocked by the amount of food they brought to us for dinner and breakfast, it was like it never stopped coming. The futons and bedding were really comfortable, the room was beautiful, and the views were incredible. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.

Amazing place! Our stay couldn’t be any better, the staff is wonderful, the food is incredible (although it may not be of everyone liking since it’s traditional). Just wonderful, if I could give more stars I would.

Just spent Christmas Day there. My family (wife and two adult sons) and I really enjoyed it. Reason for this one was that some rooms had private onsen which was important to us. We got the Momiji room. Also, preferred an authentic and traditional Japanese environment. This is not cheap but worth it for the experience.

I cannot say enough great things about this ryokan. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The food was amazing. We went in late October and it felt we had the entire place to ourselves. I would highly recommend a stay here. The building itself is amazing and a taste of the past. Private Onsen from 22-9 worth every penny. 6 stars if I could! Wow !!!!

A beautiful ryokan with a bus stop from Odawara station located literally right outside. They created a beautiful vegetarian meal for me and I did not feel like I was missing anything from my meat eating partner. The service was amazing and the lady serving us was very friendly and tried her best to communicate with us with limited English, which we really appreciated! The hot springs were gorgeous even though you have to go up a bit of a steep path to get there. The private hot spring in the room was amazing and the room overall was beautiful and traditional. Definitely feels like you're in another time.
