This guest house is run by an elderly couple. They are very nice and helpful. You have everything you need. The bathroom and toilet are shared. Everything looks tidy. The house itself is located at a very calm and silent side road. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Oh and you have to love hard mattress :)
Wonderful place to stay with great people who run it!
I have been staying at this homestay since I first traveled to Kyoto 8 years ago. Mr. Shanji and his daughter operate. Very family, very welcoming, just 2 minutes walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, the location is great. Only in recent years, the old man seems to be in poor health, does not provide any food and beverages, and only does some regular business. The price is very high, the owner is very good, recommend it. By the way, there are 2 very beautiful British shorthair cats, very cute.
A well built and beautiful house. The best location near Kiyomizu Temple! Although it is named a guest house, there is no concern about privacy in all rooms. Two human-friendly cats are so cute! The curfew and the closing time of the bath are relatively early, so it is recommended to go back to the hotel after eating dinner outside, if it is OK without the breakfast (there is a convenience store on foot) but OK. And there is no TV and refrigerator in the room. There is a large communal TV on the first floor, and a refrigerator on the second floor. It should have a freezer.
Very beautiful house and courtyard, the boss is very polite and the price is reasonable.
