The dimly-lit dark wooden interiors with wide comfy seats and white tablecloths, excellent service and similar prices remind one immediately of a competitor steakhouse.
Here they differentiate by having a menu option (2 starters, a side dish, main dish and a dessert) which does offer great value, if you're looking for variety of that sort.
But when it comes down to it, the steaks just lacks the oomph that you would get from Wolfgang. It's still very good, but just not as good. It could be a personal preference, but I like mine slightly charred so it's crispy on the outside while still medium rare on the inside.
Far away from my home Ruth’s Chris in Nashville, TN, but just as good!

I love Ruth’s Chris in New Orleans and I love it even more in Tokyo!
I came here one time for my birthday because as usual Ruth’s Chris is expensive. I had the signature crab cakes and I also tried the Wagyu ribeye. If I’m fine dining in Japan, night as well try the high quality Japanese steak.
The atmosphere is elegant, cozy and romantic. It was pretty dark so hard to take pictures but I really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the martini and crab cake was delicious as usual. The wagyu ribeye was delicious!!!! It was so tender, juicy and had the perfect amount of fat. It was also very buttery and everything I wanted for a Wagyu ribeye. I’m not sure if the picture does the steak justice but it was pretty big. This restaurant does do takeout which is rare in Japan. I took my leftovers home and it was just as delicious the next day.
If I could afford it, I would definitely go back to taste the Wagyu ribeye another time.
You will know once you have this steak. No need to seek reviews. Just have it.
This is the best steak house ever in Tokyo.
