Very exotic and charming style. The building is old, but it’s nice. The bathroom was very new. The sound proof is not super good, but in general it didn’t bother me too much. I heard the sound of tv next door but not sound from people. The room is big compared to other hotels at the similar level in Japan. I love the window and that I can see the big trees from the window. The staff were very friendly.

Head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to affordable hotels in Kumamoto. I got a double room, bed was proper size which is a treat if your a westerner, no feet hanging over the end of the bed! Room was well furnished and the decor was stylish too. The bathroom suite was brand new, clean and best of all.... Full size bath, lye back and relax! Only negative point, the room doors are very loud when closed or perhaps that was just the animals staying next door :/ Overall an absolutely bargain with style and class. Staff were competent & professional. Be aware in Kumamoto most vertical parking has a height limit of 1.5m. If your car exceeds this height you will have to use an off-site parking facility. No big deal but something to be aware off. Enjoy.

Located on the 100-year-old boulevard of beautiful Kumamoto. Antique design, friendly staff and comfortable accommodations were all perfect. Best of all, I left my stuff at the hotel and returned home, but Okus kindly sent it to me. Thank you for your best memories.

Good location. Easy to access any point of the city. Close to tram station by 3 minutes walk. Hotel room is a bit small, with reasonable price ~what can you say.
