Situated in what is know as “Tadao Ando’s street”, from the famous architect who first realized plain structural concrete exterior walls in buildings with an aesthetic purpose, it lines up with many nearby buildings which share the same style and creates a small city within the city. Quiet, refined, surely not on the main tour guide plan, but worth a deviation.

An extremely tiny museum (gallery level), possibly the tiniest I have ever visited in my life, situated in "Ando Tadao Street" as other reviews mention. The cozy architecture represents the "modern" style in that there is little decoration. And yet with respect to the inefficiency of space use, it surely belongs to post modern as well -- the staircase leads the spectator to only two paintings on the second floor and a single painting on the third floor. If you are interested in architecture, it may be worth a visit. Spending 10 mins is sufficient. Worth noting that there is a cozy public bath close to the museum. Consider enjoying the entire area instead of trying to visit this single destination.

It is a three-story concrete architecture with an inorganic appearance. I am satisfied with being able to appreciate it almost on a rental basis. There is a possibility to miss the entrance when walking in a baffle

It's a little different from the tension I had when I went to Ueno, but I've never been dissatisfied with it. A very nice space.

It has an inorganic appearance, but once you step in, you will be impressed by the attractive exhibits. The contrast with the minerals is also good.
