Absolutely incredible. The room we had was incredibly spacious and lovely. We were right above the rushing river, which provided a natural white noise while we slept... The private open air bath was incredibly relaxing... Even in the middle of rain from a nearby typhoon, the protected mountain area made the bath feel like a peaceful respite. The food served for both breakfast and dinner was incredible. Highly recommend if you're coming to Hakone that you can't beat this experience.

Stayed here two nights, it was an amazing experience. Staff were friendly. Food seemed authentic and was delicious. The inn was easy to get to from the train station riding the bus. I stayed in the Chidori room with a private onsen and it was fantastic. The room was right on the river and so relaxing. I would recommend this place to everyone. It was exactly what I was imaging the Ryokan experience would be.

One of my favourite hotel experiences ever! The staff are incredibly kind, efficient and helpful. The rooms are amazing- traditional Japanese style rooms with futon beds to roll out for sleeping. Each room that we had booked had it's own private hot spring bath, but we also used the small communal one so that the family could experience together. The food was fabulous and bountiful! Japanese style cooking yourself with carefully imparted instructions both for dinner and breakfast. The path down from the station is magical too. Highly highly recommend!

Amazing experience staying in a traditional japanese room w/ private onsen and balcony. Great menu options at the in-house restaurant.
