Komagane Silk Museum

Komagane Silk Museum provides a brief, but interesting look at the local silk industry as well as giving some background information on silkworms and the silkroute's history. It's very small, but the cheap price of admission, a chance to make small knick knacks, and a beautiful view of the valley make this a worthwhile stop if you're in the vicinity.

I learned a lot. Sericulture and silk fabrics, which were once a major industry in Japan, are amazing. It's not just the Tomioka Silk Mill. Nagano is also amazing!
